Leaving Scotland

Yesterday we took the train to Edinburgh to take a look around there. the city is very busy at the moment as the Fringe Festival is on and there were buskers and stalls everywhere.

The weather there was pretty cool and windy. We walked a little way up Princes St then across to the older part of town and along the Royal Mile.

We found a little cafe for lunch, but it was not that great as Roger had ordered a grilled burger and it was served cold, so he sent it back and asked for a hot one! That was at the Castle Cafe, so would not really recommend it to friends...

It was not very warm still so after lunch we walked around a couple of smaller treats then found our way back to the railway station and took the train back to Stirling.

When we got there, we went up to the National Wallace Monument and Gina walked up to the top. She said it was very windy up there.

After that, it was time to find somewhere for a meal so after driving around Springkerse shopping centre we ended up back at the restaurant next to the hotel.

Watched some interesting programmes on TV then had a good sleep.
